i know alot of cars have features that the average person wouldnt know about unless they were told. So post as many features on your car that you think most people dont know it has or you think its cool. Also make sure you post the year and model of your car.

2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged

-Speed sensitive wiper blades
-Oil life monitor that tells you when you need an oil change based on percentages.
-Battery is located in the trunk
-Tells me my average Miles Per Gallon
-Speed sensitive steering, i really like this feature on the highway, makes it really easy to control at high speeds. But at the same time, if you make a fast jerk of the wheel, you will get a stronger response.
-10 inch subwoofer in the trunk from the factory

i think thats about it

2002 maxima SE 6 speed:
it has a heated steering wheel, it tells me my avg miles per gallon and how many more miles i can drive until my gas tank is empty. it has a reverse lock-out collar on the shifter like a corvette to keep you from hitting Reverse when going into 6th gear and it comes with a stock 8" sub on the rear deck lid behind the passengers heads. that's all i got.

My S2000 doesn't have any fancy features. It's just a pure sports car :)

1991 3000GT SL:

You can change the stiffness of the suspension electronically from inside the car

The transmission can be put into a race or economy setting

The sides on the seats can be adjusted for your driving so that the either hold you firm in the seat for spirited driving or spread far apart for a more comfortable ride

RX-8

-It has speed sensitive steering
-the sport package has a slightly stiffer suspension and it is adjusted to go a bit stiffer when you remove the dsc and traction.
-it has a speed sensitive radio, faster you go and the more outside noise you have the louder the stereo gets without raising the volume (To a point)
-The car has slits where the splash guard for the tires are to allow for more cooling.
-eats oil
-eats gas
-my version of the RX-8 (the sport package) is considered the Type-s in japan
-Fuel cut is at 9.3k but with ecu tunning you can get it all the way to 10k
-the hood, trunk, and doors are made of aluminum.
-you can change the color of the odometer when you have your headlights on, they change from the white to a nice dark blue which is really cool at night.
-the drive shaft is Carbon Fiber

thats all i can think of for now

-the front seats can recline back 45 degrees...so basically you can chill in the back seat n put your feet up.
-it's technically a hatchback, not a coupe
-you can edit the head unit to display a custom message when you turn it on.
-during acceleration there is a whistling sound, resembling an aftermarket intake sound
-one touch up and down driver/passenger windows
-stock factory sound system includes 2 tweeters and 4 speakers. 160watt output.
-the a/c isnt that cold =/
-the glass roof actually exceeds safety requirements
-toyota's first knee airbag
-sensor in front passenger side controls deployment of that airbag
-the rear seats can recline completely down to make the tC appear as a "two seater" also for increased "trunk" room.
-tC stands for touring coupe...:)

thats all i can think of right now

-All manual NSX's until 1995 had manual steering.
-NSX's did not have keyless entry standard until 2003
-NSX's comes with a twin disk clutch from the factory until 1997
-Automatic NSX's are only rated at 250hp and can only rev to 7500. The engine has different cams, and internals and tuning parameters. ( Don't ever buy a auto if you ever plan to have any fun with a NSX =) )
-Highest known mileage NSX that is still on the stock block is currently at 375,000 and its still running strong.
-When it rains really hard, water gets into the engine bay from the rear engine garnish at the bottom of the glass. This will cause a nasty misfire as the water gets into the ignition coils of rear banks. ( ask me how I know )

GM has had that since the C5 Corvette and 4th Gen F-body, and in all the trucks. My 2001 truck has that. It's a nice feature.

My car has many of these features already described so I will not list anything already said.

-variable length intake manifold
-headrests that move forward in the event of a rear collision to prevent whiplash.
-350 watt stereo.
-more airbags than pounds of torque
-one touch sunroof
-windows with one touch (and sunroof) automatically go back down if your head or hand is in the way when it is closing.
-bigger windshield than hood.
-smaller steering wheel and steering ratio than an NSX or S2000 (I think on both counts for each car.)

I can't think of much more but I know there is a lot of pretty cool details on this car that I read about prior to my purchase.

-Jayson-

reminded me of a few other things.

-Auto headlights, i love this feature, never need to turn on or off my lights.
-AC automatically turns off at 95% throttle, so i can race with the AC on.
-Leather wrapped steering wheel and shift nob
-Radio controls on the steering wheel

2004 Subaru WRX STi

Driver Control Center Differential- You can adjust the power to be more to the rear wheels or you can lock it so it's a 50/50 split.
-You can angle the headlights up or down with a switch, 4 different variations
-2004 STi's came without speakers, radio and floor mats to save weight...
-2004 Was the first year for the STi in the U.S.

I'm sure most of you know about the engines on these so i'll leave that out.

you forgot to mention that 04 rims on the STi have a different offsetting and the tuning on the '04's is harder to accomplish because most parts that are available for the other ones arent available for the '04.

true, I only said it cause my friend has an 04 STi and he keeps running into the same problems when finding the parts.

04 STi's also have a weird hub pattern for their wheels. most 5 lug hubs are 5x114.3 but the 04's are 5x110 or something weird like that.

My 1998 Jeep GC 4.0L has select-trac with full time 4wd, part-time 4wd, 4wd low and 2wd. It also has a button on the dashboard that allows you to cut off the Overdrive which helps going up steep mountain highways without flooring it.

2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 Off-Road
-Has the 3.0L engine, same as the Ford Taurus
-The Off-Road package gives me 4.10's and a locking diff, plus a shiny skidplate
-Has 245/75R16 tires, same as many fullsize trucks
-The combination of a family sedan motor and a locking differential make it impossible to do a burnout
-The "door ajar" sensors are known to go bad on Rangers, making my door ajar light stay on constantly :banghead:
-The oil filter is tucked underneath the header near the bottom of the engine, but is only accessible from the top or by taking the drivers side tire off
:screwy:
In the two or so months that I've owned the vehicle, I have yet to find any really cool features, just stuff that makes me scratch my head and wonder...but what did I expect, it is a Ford.

GM has had that since the C5 Corvette and 4th Gen F-body, and in all the trucks. My 2001 truck has that. It's a nice feature.
My '01 Grand Am GT has that. The 1999 Trans Am doesn't.
I don't use it anyways.

Grand Am....
Has wheels and tires.
Steering wheel.
This thing that some call a motor.
Slushbox is a perfect word for the crappy tranny.
Has a base for a car seat in the back. Thank god for the latch system. :cwm27:

Trans Am....
No real features. Made to go fast. Then I made it go faster.
CD player is a pile. Can't hear it when un-capped anyways.
Has a ricer hood and wing.

You mean, where the cat isn't. In mid '95 they changed the exhaust layout to a twin cat design and effectively didn't need that bump. But GM was cheap and kept the floor pan the same.

I hated that damn thing... made it uncomfortable to ride passenger in the car. Although I rarely rode passenger in my Z28... I knew the frustration of the passengers who had to sit there.

Dumbass GM.:rofl::p
