Been awhile since the last post. 11/08/06 according to history. Time flies even if you ain't having fun. Figured I'd post these before computer house keeping.
http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/6864/acdaytonalftsdbk1.th.jpg (http://img254.imageshack.us/my.php?image=acdaytonalftsdbk1.jpg) This is the AC Daytona Cobra Coupe. The left overs from this made the Daytona Roadster. Just had to show this one again.

http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/1271/240zroadsterlftfrtg6.th.jpg (http://img444.imageshack.us/my.php?image=240zroadsterlftfrtg6.jpg) HWs came out with the 240Z. First thing I did was make a roadster.

HW's somtimes does something almost right. Still gotta screw up the wheels and wheel wells. But the 250LM made a nice 250P with opening decks.

The drawing was posted here a couple of years ago in a concept contest. Early this year I got enough pieces to make the concept. However I had to use a later model front end than the '70 I wanted. So I was never happy with it still don't have a '70 front end to re-do it.

I've got a few 1/18 & 1/32. A lot of 1/43. Most, however, are 1/64. The main reasons for this size are space, costs and variations. I mainly mod the 1/64 because they don't cost as much when I screw up. The variations of the body styles lend themselves to more creative combinations. Like the "GP" Longnose. That was a combo of a HWs Torpedo Jones, Low Flo, and a '71 Charger "Torpedo." None of which are available in anything but 1/64.

^ Yeah I agree, the smaller scales are less costly and generally look good as well. But I prefer the 1/18s because I like to play around the cars ie doors, trunk, hood etc:p...
and, may be GMP has some of the models you mentioned in 1/18? I'm not sure, but I know that they make a lot of domestic classics..

These are the parts that went into the GP. I can't imagine what it would have cost to get something like a Mercedes SSK, Some type of old Alfa GP and a 67 Charger to cut up; in 1/18 scale.

I really like the detail on 1/18 The ones I have I either got at a great deal, or they are ones I really love like the Daytona Cobra or GT40 MkII.

Nice pic! :) As to the prices, they're either gonna to be very highly priced or not produced at all, since it's unlikely that they'll be mass produced due to a relatively low demand...
I also either only collect the models I really want or the ones I could get a great deal on. Or sometimes both :p
