Drive both and see what you think. The SE suspension should be a little stiffer. 6-speed is only available on the SE, though the ratios aren't much different from the 5-speed (even though I really enjoy the 6).

The SE has a single DIN stereo because it has the added gauges above it (torque, fuel consumption, voltage). It's not a bad system though--200 watt Kenwood head unit with MP3 capability. You can also get a cable that will allow you to connect an exterior MP3 player via the cd changer port. That's what I do and it works pretty well.
If you wanted to change it out though any single-DIN head unit would work. Or you could also take out the gauges and put a double-DIN unit there. More often people are trying to add the multi-gauges though, not take them out. I don't know much about systems, I just know the stocker in the SE isn't bad at all.

yea the sound system in the SE sounds great, everything you need unless you live and breathe music, then go with a 5 spd GT with the best sound package possible, its a little over 400 watts i think and sounds kickass
