Coolant hoses blowing left and right

:runaround:
This is driving me mad. Every time I turn around another hose blows out on the coolent system, normally replacing hoses is no big deal, but no one makes the hoses any more, so trips every weekend to the local junkyard is becoming a habit (they are running out of them).
Another issue is over heating when I am running the van, and not moving. It does not over heat when it is moving (asuming there is water in rad).
Does any one know what the problem is? It is a 1993 XL with dual climate control (front & back).

I was just wondering the cause of the blow outs. Doesn;t matter now, pistin blew, and i now need a new block :banghead: . One more problem, and the d### van will be in the next demolition derby I can find.

The cause of the cooling hose blowouts was the cracked block. The compression of the piston was bleeding into the cooling system, overpressurizing it. Same thing happened to my '92 3.0L, except the hose blew, it overheated, and never ran more than two miles after that. It's in the junk yard now, as the repair costs were over 5 times the value of the vehicle.
