Was wondering if anyone had ever changed their catalytic converter and how hard it might be. i found catalytic converters that say they are a direct fit. here is the linkhttp://www.thepartsbin.com/catalog/products.php?make_text=dodge&year=1997&part_name=catalytic_converter&catalog=pu&model_text=stratus&category=exhaust&brand_name=&price_range=&uni=1&sort=0&limit=0&uni=0

its a 1997 dodge stratus. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you are comfortable with exhaust work, it should be no problem for you. If you are not experienced, know that the bolts will likely be rusted tight and will probably need an impact wrench or torch to remove.
