I searched before posting but couldn't find any answers to my problem.
Here goes: Last year my blazer's computer would not communicate with the emissions computer. I went to 2 different places. I took my truck to a local mechanic and it would not communicate with his either. My brother decided to go to the junk yard and try and different computer. Well when he changed the computer my truck ran like total crap, so he put the original back in. Well , I took it back to the mechanic just for the heck of it and guess what?? The computer communicated. HUH?? :banghead: Now, my "check engine" light has been on for a few months, but the truck has been running fine. Everything works, expect the A/C stinks. When I brought my truck to the mechanic to find out why the "engine" light is on, guess what?, my truck's computer would not communicate. Not only with 1 computer but with 2. Any ideas as to what is going on. My emissions are due again next month and it won't pass if it can't be read...WHAT GIVES? Thanks in advance:banghead:

Welcome to AF.
First check your diagnostic connector for power and ground.

Hi again..
Well I just got back from my mechanic and he checked all fuses and the power and ground to the diagnostic connector..All good. He hooked up 2 computers to my blazer and it still will not communicate. He said it has power but cannot figure out what the problem is..On my way home, I was wondering if an Alarm/ Remote start would have anything to do with it..On a few occasions, when I started the truck with the remote, the next few times, it wouldn't start with the key. I could only start it with the remote. I would try the key each time until it would finally start with it. Can this be interfering with the trucks computer? Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks...
