My 1998 Olds Silhouette has developed the following problem and I am not sure it is transmission related.
1. If I slowly pull away from a dead stop, keep the pedal constant and there is a load (like going up a hill) the van tends to shudder. I have also noticed this condition while traveling at highway speeds and a load in put on the van while maintaining a slight constant pedal.
I need help with this. Anyone had this similar problem? I can't figure out if it is Transmission, Ignition or Fuel related.

could be dirty injectors, bad plugs and plug wires. try big bottle of a good fuel injector cleaner .if its been a while since the plugs have been changed
the factory plugs and wires are supposed to last 100,000 miles and the replacement ones same miles[100,000] also a plug wire too close to the exhaust manifold. try the simple and cheapest fixes first . get autozone to scan it and see if any codes come up good luck

Well the shuddering is from the torque converter being burned up. It is costing me $1800. Geez I really wish I could get rid of this van. It has cost me some much money and I still owe $2300 on it to the bank.
When I get it back I got to deal with the leaking intake manifold gasket too.:banghead: :shakehead
