Ok i got a 94 grans am with a auto trans and the 4 cylinder. First thing i need to know is what trans i have, i think its the 4t60e but im not sure. Next is my actaul prob which is wierd. When i shift into reverse the engine loads but wont go and the car wont roll even if you push it like its binded. Put it in neutral and it still acts loaded and locked up and wont rev much. It also does the same in drive, but i can get it to work if i put it in neutral and rev it alot. Eventually reving it in neutral makes somthing break free and the engine revs and the car rolls like normal. Then i can put it in drive and everything is perfect till i put it into reverse or park again. It shifts fine while its driving and its full of fluid! I havent seviced it yet but im goin to, just curious if anyone has any ideas?

Mine kinda does that... if I'm on an incline (nose of car facing upwards), I can't go into reverse or neutral anymore without giving a bit of gas, then it goes THUMP and starts moving. It scares me :uhoh: especially since it never did it before and I have 177,000 miles on my car :uhoh:
