Pre Project Car

Hello, I'm new here and i wanted to know what to do about starting your first project car. I know more than the average driver about how a car functions but i dont know any advanced specifics on any aspect of a car. I live in Hinesville Ga/ Ft Stewart area. I want to get an early 90s 300zx, silvia, 240, or any classics for the time period. Money isnt all that great but i want to do something.

The question is what do you want to do. That makes a big difference in what car you buy. Show or go? That kind of info would be helpful.

I want to go half performance with some engine work and suspension, light body work, rims spoiler paint and lights, and sound, some 15" subs with tweeters or something.

I like the 300zx. That would be your best bet from what you described. Lots of aftermarket parts for thoes still avalible. But they tend to be a little expensive. 240sx you can do almost the same thing, just not as fun.

Ok, Now i need to get a car and figure out ways to get parts!!
