Ive never been in a situation where ABS would have worked better than my non ABS brakes. Theres time where I'd rather lock them up.

i'll have to search for the write-up, but there aren't that many instructions. basically, you remove the ABS pump and ABS lines, but then you have to route your own NEW lines. pretty involved process but makes the engine bay look a LOT cleaner.

Raises hand.

As soon as I have time it is getting taken out. I haven't heard one person that owns a 3S that has said the ABS was worth keeping.

Well i have a question. My ABS hasnt worked since I got the car. I was considering removing it also since everyone says its a POS, but I planned on tuning it up for more HP & eventually want to replace the engine with one with low miles and keep the car kind of as a collectors car and only drive it on the weekends. So, do you guys think it worth the trouble of removing it? or just leave it in since I plan on replacing the Engine anyways.

I guess I'll be the first. My first car did not have ABS and I did not like it at all. In fact, one time I put it in a ditch because they locked up. However, I was relatively new to drivning then too. I would not ever take mine off. Not to start up an argument but I have watched reviews on car with abs and cars without and the cars without stopped slower and would tend to lose control easier. I would never take mine off but that is just me.

When it activates at a bad time and causes an accident or even a close call you will rethink that. ;) ABS is the devil and I have never wrecked because of lack of ABS. I would rather have the ability to lock the brakes if need be.

Haha, while I wasn't there, I think it wrong to blame a crash on ABS brakes. So you think if you had no ABS you would have been in the clear. We could debate this all day and everyone has their own opinion but most crashes are driver error than car. However, to blame it on the car makes a nice scapegoat. And I have had times in the snow in my car where I was really happy to have my abs. I can definately tell the difference in stopping time and stabability in the slick between this car and my car without it.

I was going in a straight line down a hill letting the engine brake the car. The car was very slowly gaining speed so I applied the brakes VERY lightly, and I do mean VERY lightly. ABS engages, back steps out, and I'm along for the ride. It could have been worse. Had I not tried to correct the car would have gone off to the right in a small gully with a bunch of tress.

I'm not saying ABS is crap. I'm saying the ABS in our cars is crap.
