does any one know why some valve covers say vtec and some dont on the z6? the ones without are they the earlier ones or something?

as far as I know all Z6 Valve covers DO NOT say VTEC.....perhaps you are thinking of the Y8.....because that does say VTEC on the Valve cover.

incorrect. the 94 model year of the d16z6 has VTEC embossed on the valve cover. i have seen them. i could be wrong on the model year, but i know that one year had vtec on teh valve cover. why they wouldn't put it on all the engines is beyond me.

Okay, no, ALL Y8's DO NOT have Vtec on the valvecover, and only 94 and 95 z6's have Vtec on the valve cover, thats it! I am for sure on this one!!!

my y8 doesn't say v-tec. i honestly do not know why or why not. i don't know how true this is but, the del sol's i have seen say vtec on them.
i think honda did it just to make us ask why....and it worked :licker:

Yes, Ami, thats right, but only the delsol's with a z6 in them...... in 96 they got the y8 and it doesnt have vtec on the valve cover........
