preparing my car

hi, ok so i decided to use a 12" re audio XXX for my substage and since it needs 2k watts and my amp for my speakers is 500 watts( i'm upgrading to a more power 4 channel amp) so that will 2.5k watt system now things i have done to my car so far is the foloowing: 1/0 guage big 3, 200 amp alt ( biggest they make for my car so i can't really get bigger without losing stuff like power steering etc) now i figure i will add a second battery in my trunk but my question is this. if i run 1/0 gauge from the alternator to the isolator then run 1/0 guage from the isolator to the battery that will have the amps attached to. then if possable could i run 4 guage wire from the isolator to the battery that will be under the hood that has nothing in terms of audio done to it. and could i run a starter battery under the hood and either a yellow top or a kinteck battery in the trunk

yea i know but i like to cover my ass just to be safe. and i might do some type of amatuer competion with this set up. and since i hear most are with the car off then it would be nice to be able to start my car with out being jumped

most are with the car ON unless you compete as an actual amatuer. I wouldn't worry about it until you install the stuff and find out you're electrical system isn't up to par.

ok cool because i am getting second thoughts on having a XXX versing like 2 12's being fead the same amount of power.

schoshe or stinger makes a battery for exactly what you are talking about, buy unless you are running an Immortal sub, you dont need it...
