93 aerostar driver's side power window doesn't slide down straight

Every time I want the window to slide down, I have to assist it by pushing down on the window nearest the seat belt or it won't go down straight and locks up. The power window motor is fine. Somehow the window guides seem to be sticky on one side. Is there an easy fix without taking the door panel off. But if I do need to take the panel off, how do I get the panel off without damaging the side mirror controls which are mounted on the top edge of the door panel? My aerostar was rejected on a yearly inspection because of this problem!! So it sits in my driveway until I fix it. Thanks for any advice.:)

In the case of removing the electrical controls if its not evident how to unfasten it I would sujest having a service manual.. With aerostars you often need one because they are so compact.
