1995 Electrical Problems

I had my car turned off 5 minutes, turned it back on and that is when the problem started. All 4 power windows quit working, my a/c, heat, air, doesn't work at all, and the air bag light on the dash stays on and wasn't before. Everything went out at the same time, during the restarting of the engine. I have checked all fuses, and relays many times, nothing. Could this be a ignition switch? I had to replace one about 8 months ago, but I have seen what seems to be the same problem posted on here several times, and the advice is the ignition switch. Doesn't seem like that should be the problem, but if you have any advice please let me know. Thanks

Check the battery posts. If oil has dripped between the posts and the connector the voltage can be low because oil doesnt conduct electricity. In a low voltage situation the computer will run essential hardware only. Just take the connector off the posts and wipe the post and the inside of the connector WELL with a CLEAN paper towel or rag.

please note that this is a common problem and a easy fix that may or may not work but its worth a try.

Thanks for the advice, but tried it and it didn't work.We have checked the fuses and relays a million times. Does anyone think it might be the ignition switch? We replaced one about 6-8 months ago, could it be a possibliity?

Just thought I would let you know that it ended up being the ignition switch. We suffered in 102 heat with no windows to roll down and no ac. Thought it would be worth a try even though we had put in a new ignition switch 6 months ago. Never had any trouble starting, but it did end up being the switch. So, 37 bucks isn't bad at all, everyone else said it was the computer, so if this happens to you, try this first!
