part 1: my DN Performance SMIC pipes will not work with my dejon 16g extension pipes, so i thought i would try to sell them rather than "making" them work. $770-800 in the box, these were never installed but taken out of the box. pictures available if anyone is interested. asking $600 or possibly equal value trades (suspension parts :) ).
part 2: car died, cranks but wont turn over, acts like it's getting no spark. im going to check for leaky caps; PTU and the coils; MFI. i know, really vague info but it's been raining nonstop here and haven't had time to trouble shoot. any other suggestions?
part 3: dallas is a hop, skip and a jump from me at fort sill, i'm planning on going to the meet in august. if anyone else is going and is traveling south'ish down there let me know, could meet up and make the trip together.

great deal on the SMICs. if i wasn't NA, it would be very tempting.
when its not starting, check 3 things (in no particular order): fuel, spark, timing. also, you could call Jeremy or Keith at WSR, and i'm sure they could give you a few pointers.
i'll be going to the TX 3S Gathering in Dallas in August, but since i live in Dallas, no need to caravan. but i'll definitely see you there!

it's funny, the rain stopped here earlier and i went out to check the car out. hopped in, turned the key and it started and run for about 3 seconds...sputtered and died. started again, idled normal for about 30 seconds...sputtered and died. now it won't start just cranks and cranks like the other day. so because of that i'm thinking it's not fuel and not spark. i checked for spark by lifting a boot off one of the coils and having a friend crank it, it is getting spark. i pulled the ECU...looks good no leaky caps. and i actually did call jeremy up at WSR, he noted to check the PTU and the MFI that sits inside the panels covering the sides of the center console. someone drown me.

what if a few of the cogs on the timing belt "chipped" off and the crank is hitting that flatspot on the t-belt, and dieing. Everything you just said happened to me on tuesday, only to make it worse i accidently left the windows open and it rained hard, so i'm hoping that only the engine got screwed not all the electrics

I GOT IT...took the cover off the fuel pump area and one of the sending wires had come loose. put them back together, secured it a little tighter and it purrs like a kitten again. so simple, so aggrivating at the time.

well that's good, it could've been more labor intensive, or something you yourself couldn't do.
