Hey everyone, i hate to start a thread for this because it may seem kind of pointless, but i need help. I`ve been loooking to do a superdetailed (or so i hope) build of a car that i like. Well, i purchased tamiyas clk-gtr kit with sakatsus detail set. I havent recieved it yet but it looks to be the mesh, and some small photo-etched parts. So heres my ?`s.
1) I`ve been looking everywhere for reference pics but can`t find much in the interior, engine bay, and entire front end (plan to do an all open version)
2) Are there any other detail sets that i should look into?
Thank you!!

If you can find one, I suggest you get the now out-of-production Scale Motorsport CLK-GTR Super Detail Set. It contains templated carbon fiber decals (which can also be purchased separately), a couple of sheets of photoetch (also which can be bought separately) plus turned metal parts for shocks, fluid resovouirs, etc. The instructions for the set can be seen here:

If you can't find the full detail set (one showed up on Ebay a couple of weeks ago), hunt down the PE and CF decals separately. All well worth it.

I've been trying to convince SMS to do a re-release of the CLK kit. Maybe they will do a better one if there was enough interest. Send them an email. High customer requests go a long way with MW at SMS.

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing these photos!! I also have the Tamiya CLK-GTR and have been looking everywhere for reference photos; the best I could come up with were pics of the street car, which is substantially different. These pictures are invaluable. :ylsuper:
