Removing the OEM grille

I have seen some of the 98-02 Camaros with the stock grille removed around town and was wanting to do the same with mine. When I tried to pull it off it seemed like it was screwed on near the center or something. I didn't want to just pull harder to see if it would pop off or not because I did not want to damage it. Could I get any help on how to remove the grille insert?
