Valve train noise, what is normal?

I noticed I hear alot more valvetrain noise at idle in my 1998 Transport. It runs great, but I was wondering if other owners have noticed more valvetrain noise in the 3.4 engine?

My other comparison vehicle is a 302 Ford V8 with cast iron heads. Is it the aluminimum heads on this engine?
