Hey im new in the market for a car and im wondering if a Mustang is a reasonable car for a new driver.

Bias aside is the mustang reasonably safe, drives well, affordable, am i going to empty my wallet on gas.

My bugget for a car is around 18k with a little parent help. They have a large expedition and a benz that we won in an auction so i havent had any practice with a sporty car and i was also wondering if a new driver like myself can drive them fairly easily.

You're going to have to test drive them, that is your choice. For 18k, what are you looking at?

Can you get a EVO for 18k?

I would get a slightly modded 2004.

i looked and a 2003 is 24k so i dont think so
i read and it said the lancer was very sluggish

do you know anything about the hyundai tiburon i like the look of it
but it only comes in manual shift??? how hard is it to use, and is it worth not getting a car because of???

the tiburon is an ok car. i cant imagine it only being a manual, there has got to b an auto offered. they arent the quickest cars out there. they do look decent, but in some ways they look like a kids car. a car u'll get pulled over in as a young person a lot.
mustang for 18k, i'm not much for stangs(well ford really) but 2 or 3 yrs old is about right for 18k. i'm not sure what level that would get u, gt or not.
honostly i dont know reliability with them. but ford just won like 4 outta 5 in initial quality for the new cars, including the stang.
i know of another car, it's american, it packs some power, and is still a car that'll keep cops away. a dodge srt4. hold on, dont go saying its a neon, it's a peice of shit that wont last. it'll last u as long as u take care of, like every other car in this world. and 18k could get u one that's in really good condition, they sold new for like 23g or so. it does have a drawback tho. FWD, much like the tiburon, it'll have torque steer. it has around 230hp, tho new tests say 250, i'm going with 230. it's fast, and yet can still b used to go get ur food for the wk.
wat about a wrx?

hey ppl,
i have a problem, i own a 1989 mustang gt 5.0
Whats going on is that the coolent from the radiator was going into the overflow like its suppose to, but it wouldnt return it back to the radiator and so it would throw the coolent out of the brether that the overflow has. so i bought a new high performance water pump and an aluminum radiator thinking that was it.but the problem continues, not as bad as before, but still going on.if anybody knows what it could be,please help me!! :banghead:
also it has no thermostat.
