Anyone know of a company that sells USDM engines? Like oh..I dunno..the D16Z6 that I cant find anywhere! Every place I look at only has JDM engines. Which I can understand because they are an importer.

I don't remember what site I got this link from, so I'm not too sure how reputable they are.

And then there's this site. I've seen it posted on here many times before.

Get the D15B, its about the same price your gonna find a decent Z6 and the same motor pretty much. Ive done the search your after, and its alot easier to find a D15B right now than a Z6. I have 2 spare z6's, one is tore down and the other needs to be(bad rings).

For the Z6, just gotta luck into them really. When I was at the salvage yard, it took at least 6 months to get a z6 in for me. But that wasn't pulling one from another yard, just waiting on the car.

Yeah but im interested in going turbo with it, and the higher compression and lower tq on the d15b doesnt sound like what I need.

The compression ratio is only 9.3:1 and has 102tq (4tq less than the d16z6). And with the right turbo, it woun't make a difference.

Yea, I didn't say it was exactly like the z6, but its close to it and easier to find.

Haha, you arent kidding... http://www.tamparacing.com/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/2513/limit/recent
what do you guys think? Think the bore will affect ability to boost or rev up high? Ive built engines but never messed with different internals, all oem stuff mostly.

that's just an over bore, because they needed to clean up the sleeves and were in too bad of condition to just hone. You can get the over bore pistons straight from honda. They are .20 (mm or inches, can't remember) larger than stock, nothing noticeable performance wise. So it won't effect anything, because it's such a minute amount.

Well the engine is already built...so they are in.

This project im putting together is gonna rape my 16.0 sec b series with a sharp stick lol...

I was just saying that it's not that big of a deal, because honda sells them for rebuilds. And that they're an OE size (over sized OE size, but still OE size). Good luck on the project man, hope it works out for you.

looks like a fun project im already looking for upgrades i could do to the c32a but not much luck lately..its already got an exhaust so im gonna get a CAI intake for the upgraded manifold. then probly look for some nice acura wheels maybe use the tl 17s. i guess theres a guy on their forum who makes chips for the ecu that will give you a better fuel map and higher redline

sorry for the off topicness of my post but. mr foosh did you end up getting a legend? we just did the type 2 intake and head swap in my buddys 91 legend. what a diffrence it made, and swap wise there is nothing too it. but the type 2 heads and mani was dam hard to track down here in minnesota. also i thought that the c32a was out of the nsx and there wasent near enough room to get those big heads to fit. i looked at a legend not to long ago you can always seem to find one for cheap with a blown head gasket.

Yes it is the same engine essentially..except the legend is a sohc and the nsx is dohc.

same engine yeah but there is bearly any room between the head and where the struts mount to as it is with just a single cam head. cause the engine is mounted like a rwd car. there wouldnt be room for the dohc head, i wouldnt think anyway.
