Electrical problem? Sensors, ECU?

I'm really not good at explaining stuff but I'm going to try.
I'm still having the same problem that I've been having for the past few weeks. I drive extremely easy the car runs fine. Even sometimes when I'm driving easy it still acts retarted. Anyway when I accelerate, doesnt have to be rapidly, but alot of times the car will start going then out of no where just fall on its face for a few seconds then straighten up again. Check engine light comes on for 5 seconds or so then goes off. Doesnt store the code so I cant check it. When the car hits its blonde moment....It feels like an extreme boost leak...like an intercooler pipe exploded, lol. Also when I'm idling in my driveway and I slowly bring up the rpms...it wont hold certain rpms...it will die down for a second then go back up the die down and go back up, etc.
The first time it happened was when I was cruising behind the rest of the crew members. I was in 5th going like 60 and I gave it some gas to accelerate...then it fell on its face and straightend back up....only time it did it that whole night. Ever since then it has gotten progressively worse. Now doing it multiple times everytime I drive it. I done a boost leak test and vacuum test. But those are good.
I'm thinking it may be electrical because: After I did my boost leak test and I went to put my intake pipe back on I left one of the caps off of it...so on my intake pipe there was a whole in the intake system after the airflow sensor. Now usually if this happened the car would barely even run if it ran at all. But having an open hole in my intake after the air flow sensor actually made the car run better. This lead me to believer that it was the air flow sensor. So I replace it with my spare one...does the same thing.
So my question is...what could it be? I thought about everything from the fuel system to the ignition system but that makes no sense because the fact is that the car still runs better with the air leak after the airflow sensor.
Could it be the MAP sensor? Doesnt that have to do with vacuum and all that good stuff, I really dont know. Maybe the ECU?

I thought about it some more today and I'm really leaning towards the MAP sensor but I just wanna make sure before I drop the $$$ on it.
