Its a 1975 Pontiac Lemans four door with the orange 350 V8 2bbl. I need to sell it and I'm getting mixed opinions on what its worth -- some say its a worthless beater and some say its a classic. The radiator has a small leak and it burns oil on start up. It also needs a tune up. The interior is in great condition except for that the dash has some cracks. Its also rusting around the wheel wells.
Here's a picture of it...

For the sake of clarification for our American members, this appears to be a Canadian made Pontiac. For about 30 years, Canuck Pontiacs had Chevy engines.
This sets them apart from the American made Pontiacs of this vintage which all had Pontiac blocks.
This engine is an ordinary Chevrolet 350. While having a factory Chevy engine makes if a bit rare, it is simply not a desireable model, and IMO is worth maybe $1000 tops.
I am sure you can buy a much better 4 door LeMans for much less than it would cost to fix this one up.

Classic 4 doors are not worth a lot of money, the 2 doors bring more money.I have seen this through Kruse International classic car auction and RM in the Novi,Mi auction.

Worthless beater is probably the best description - age alone does not make a classic and this certainly is not a classic.
Good luck selling it!

With the price of gas this car is worth only what basic transportation will merit. I have a formula that helps me determine a cars value. That is you need to get 1000 miles of repair free driving (other than service like oil changes , tune ups tires etc) FOR EVERY 100 DOLLERS YOU PAY, For example if you pay 800 bucks for the car you need to drive 8000 miles to get a good value . If a person buys a newer car for 5k he will need 50k of driving, see my point.I bought a taurus for 3900. I needed to get 39k . The engine blew after I put 50 k on it so Im well ahead and can junk the car .
