Buying a 240

I am seriously looking into a 240sx but i dunno wat im suppose to get...
ppl say 95 model to do a SR20DET swap but i don't think im planning to swap anytime soon. i have my eyes on this black 98 SE 5-spd

sr20 swaps easliy into all the 240 chassis's

Ok here is my plan... i found this 98 black 5-speed for 12500. u think its too much? it only has 39k miles and im planning to do the s15 SR20DET swap in it when i make some money couple years later... gib me some feedback plz :(

great car, sounds like a total cream puff, great great car, i'd pay 12.5 for that, has less miles on it than my car does right now and i haev a 2000 celica (looking for my 240 still) expecially if its a 98 then i'd go for it, but dont swap with a S15, its alot harder that swaping with a S14, the S14 just plants its ass in teh engine bay, with teh SR20 you have to get the 6 speed tranny going and do some other specifics to it, i say just stay with the S14 engine that was ment for the 98 240

ya i know how the high school thing is, same here, i'm a senior so like i know exactly what you mean, but the S14 SR20DET is ALOT cheaper to buy and everything you can get a full front clip from a S14 for around 4,000.00 you work one summer at a good paying job and its possible to earn that. well not one summer, maybe save up for a while. intake is good to have, i like the sound they make, makes it sound mean, you can get a Injen intake for about 200$ but it also helps to get that bypass valve put in because god forbide that intake sucks in water and gets into yer engine and then there is no more engine, so bypass valve is good to have, AEM makes them but alot of other companys are jumping on the bandwagon with that to, the AEM bypass with fit any coressponding sized intake despite other rumors.
