Axel Problems

I have a 97 Ford Taurus, I have tried to remove the front driverside axel nothing I did worked. Does anyone have any other ideas? Please let me know.

Which part were you not able to remove? Were you not able to get the outer joint separated from the bearing/hub? Were you not able to get the inner joint separated from the transmission? Were you not able to manipulate the halfshaft out of the car once both ends were loose? Have you ever replaced a halfshaft before (so we can guage experience and how descriptive we may need to be)?
