hi,

im just new in Owning a Vehicle, and my Mother gave me her old car which is a 1992 Plymouth Acclaim.

but of corse there is a little catch like there always is when you get stuff free, it needs to be fixed up.

Well my Battery Keeps Draining.
we though ... ok .... the battery is just dead, so we go out and buy a brand new battery. but indeed the same thing happens again. the battery Drains while the car is OFF. Any Ideas/Suggestions? i will try them out and come back to tell you if they worked.

The only thing I can think of is some device in the car is short circuiting causing the battery to drain. To see if this is a problem:
1. Find a decent multimeter
2. Set it to DC Amps
3. Put the pos end of the multimeter to the wires going to the battery and the other end to the battery terminal
4. If it shows amperage levels leaving that means that somewhere there is a shorting problem which is draining you battery.

I'm not exactly sure how you would find this problem but then you would be closer to know whats causing it. Good luck. Message back if you need help
