Hi all, I have a question on OBD11 scanners. What is the best scanner for the money in ya'lls opinion? Seems like Autoxray 6000 shows up alot in the forums.

Thanks!

If you have the money, the factory one and the Mastertech 3100 made by Vetronix.Vetronix is ahead of everyone, even on the CAN(Contolled Area Network). The Mastertech 3100 is battery powered by a lithuim ion battery with no need of a cable to the battery and goes for about $6,000.00.The GM factory scan tool,Tech 2 goes for $3,600.00 from the dealer and sometimes you canot get one of these.Snap On has a new one that replaces the "Red Brick" one.Snap On does not make the "Red Brick",which they called it one any more, the local Snap On dealer told me this.Stay away from anything from OTC,SPX treats their customers like crap since they own OTC.I know about this,My father has one that is piece of crap.

I have a Autoxray 6000. Not a bad scanner but will not perform certain items such as cam retard on many vehicles. They have been bought by the same company that makes OTC and ACTRON. The email back from their support is signed Actron Tech Support 1-800-ACTRON-7
Genisys scanner made by them also but it reads more and does ABS brake scan also. Costs more too.
