86 2 barrel carb. siezed up

i just bought a 1986 F250 with a 351 . the truck will run but just at an idle due to the 2 barrel carb bein siezed up somewhere. if anybody has any fixes(hopefully cheap and easy) let me know.

It is hard to say what is causing it, anything hooked up to the throttle shaft that -can- catch on something will keep it from moving. Might the the choke assembly, the shaft bushings might be worn out and the butterflies are catching on the side of the carb. throat, it may even be something as silly as someone hooked up the linkage incorrectly and has now locked two parts together so that they will no longer move.

Start unhooking things you will eventually find out what is causing it.
