Hi all,
I am replacing engine and transmission for my 92 Lincoln Continental (never did it before) and having some questions:

1. Should I have the AC system recharged by a professional or should I do it myself?
2. Same question for the brake system: should I leave it to the pros? Is there anything that I should worry about?

Also, I took pictures of the the engine compartments at each step I took it apart so that I would know what to be connected to later. Unfortunately, the camera was down and I do not have those pictures to guide me anymore. If anyone has pictures or can show me where to get them, I would be greatly appreciate it.

My email is [email protected] just in case someone wants to help faster.
Thanks a lot.

First, get the Ford Factory Service Manual (in CD format) from fordcds.com
The set begins with 1992, right up your alley.

Alternatively, you can still get a hardcopy on eBay from time to time, here's one:

I can't see pulling the Brake or AC systems but I've never tried pulling a FWD V8 drive train either.

What went wrong with that camera? Did it have a memory card that can be accessed from a PC?
