Who has built one of the three Tamiya Master Coachwork kits?
How do like the kit?
Are they worth the $$$?

I haven't built one, but the bodywork on them is really amazing. Very nicely done, and very neat. I haven't seen one built up either, but the standard of the kit is extremely high.

I felt the kits ARE expensive, but then, the quality of workmanship is there. These are definitely not kits you'd buy for a 10-year old to throw together as their first kit. I do know one guy that bought the kit as a reference for building a full-size super-7, as he said it was extremely well done, and correct.

I'd be very interested in seeing any pics of the finished model if you do buy one.

I have the regular caterham. The kit is extremely well detailed. I haven't completed it yet in full, but have done some assemblies. It is just amazing. And yes, worth it.

I have the JPE Kit
not built yet, but for that I have seen, it really worth what I paid for (190$us on ebay)

But if you want a "WOW effect" kit, get the 1/12 Porsche 935. much bigger, more pieces, seem to have more detail because the Porsche is a more complex car. and it's 89$.

And if you really want to get wet, do like me, get both :D

That JPE was one of my dream kit, and at 333$us (price Tamiya ask for it) I wouldn't even try to get it. Look on ebay, you will find some very nice price.

I have built all three of them and am working on my third JPE right now. See link:
Blue Seven Parts (Super7) (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=312338)

They are great kits. I have built one out of the box, the rest have added details. No matter how you choose to build it, you will be pleased with the results. While they may seem pricey, the engineering is awesome and they build much nicer than the older Porsches... - Mark
