What is in my ESi????

What enging comes in the 95-98 Talon ESi's??? The 4G63 or 420A?

I have a 95 Talon ESi with auto tranny.

Also does the 420A mount on the other side, or does that have something to do with man or auto tranny?

The 420a motor was in all 95-99 Eclipse rs's and gs's and all 95-98 Talon esi's... The 4g63t came in all GST, GSX, and TSi models...

I've noticed that my engine is mounted on the passenger side and the tranny is on the driver side, but I have seen tons of pics where the engine is mounted on the driver side and tranny is on the passenger.

Is that just because the 420A mounts that way? I am guessing that most of the pics I was looking at were of 4G63's because they all had turbos.

So doing an engine swap is kinda out of the question then? Since the engine mounts would be different. I don't really want to have to make new mounts, plus get a new tranny.
