Please tell me what boost is? I don't want to hear pounds per square inch, because I don't even know what that is. Is it important to know what it is or what?????

hahahaahahahahahaahaahahahah
boost is the amount air ur turbo is pushing into ur engine. in a engine the more air that is cold and condenssed that is mixed wit ur fuel and then combusted in the chamber wit the piston the more hp u will make. so a turbo is pushing more cold condenssed air into ur engine wit ur upgraded fuel and ingition system u should make mor hp.
so the more boost u run ur engine under the more hp u will make if ur fule an ignition is upgraded.:smoker2:
hope i helped

it depends
how well u build ur motor, i heard of b16\b18\h22a's takin as much as 25psi but dats wit knife edged crank crowers rods and je pistons and also a lower compression ratio such a 9.0:1 as opposed 2 da stock 10.0:1 .

stock naturally aspirated engines from the factory, no more safely than 5-6 psi of boost. but stock turbocharged engines can handle quite a bit more. for example, a stock wrx runs about 12 psi i believe stock, and a stock 1st gen eclipse runs about 11 psi. but thats because they have stronger internal engine components.
