Well as the title says, I'm back from a long hiatis??? Since I left I sold my 88 on payments, only to get it back when the kid blew the engine up and tore the bed up and the dash up. Well, it's slowly coming back together. I am almost finished with my 1963 Chevrolet 283 SB I am putting in it. He spun 2 rod bearings. He said he couldn't hear it knocking, his stereo was to loud. :banghead:
Luckly I have bought a 1993 C1500 for parts. It has a bad engine/trans, but the bed and dash is in great shape.

Well, I have also bought a 89 Dodge K car for work, and replaced my 88 chevy with a 89 Ford F250 4x4 351W c6....

So I now have 6 vehicles and a mad wife!

Well, glad to be back and hopefully I will be able to help with some questions folks have on here!!!

Up until 2 weeks ago I had 8 vehicles in my yard:eek: Now I am down to 6 and hopefully within a week or two I will be down to 5, much more manageable. My yard was starting to look like a candidate for Jeff Foxworthy's "Redneck Yard of the Week".
You still got that Venture??

Yeah, we still have it. Gonna have it until the wheels fall off probably. Just put a little over 1500 in it. Harmonic damper, water pump, alternator, tie rods, struts, ball joints and alignment.

Ah yes, the fabled front end parts. My Ventures went through tie rod ends and struts repeatedly. Our roads are bad here and it does a number on the front end. Funny though, of all the vehicles I've owned , the Ventures seemed to fare the worst when it came the longevity of the parts.
Hopefully that is all behind me now. I bought a 2006 Uplander last Fall and am quite pleased with it so far. It seems GM has finally listened to their customers when designing a vehicle. We'll see...time will tell.
