About how many miles before the head gasket goes in our cars?? fellow 99 cavalier peeps...
I am getting an increasing ammount of White Smoke in my exhaust... It appears when I am coming to a stop or leaving a stop. Maybe it's just because the car isn't moving so it isn't accumulating. I really hope it's not my head gasket.... :( I hope it's just like... oil burning in the exhaust or something....

you pretty sure it's not oil (blue/white smoke)?
White smoke itsn't necessarily a bad sign, it depends on how much. Is your antifreeze dropping? Try holding your hand or a paper towel or something up to the tailpipe - you should be able to tell fairly easily if it's antifreeze. It'll smell like someone's cooking up some flapjacks.

So, you have an exhaust manifold that has a crack in it, and a smoke problem. I don't know what the solution is, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the cause was pushing the grandma car way too hard.

I baby my baby... I've had problems with the intake pipes coming out of their couplers under boost, so I try to stay out of boost... until I can get some decent intercooler pipes
