I have an 2002 Grand Am V6 and it has given me so many problems. Back in December I had to change the left headlight and had no idea how to do it but finally figured it out. A few months later it seemed like the light had blown again but it had only dimed. We thought maybe it was a bad bulb and bought a new on but it is still very dim. I have to drive with my fog lamps on in order to have a headlight on the left side. Does anyone haave any idea what coudld be wrong?
Also, would this be causing the SVS light to be on. That and the Check engine light it on. Any help would be great. :banghead:

For your headlight being to dim could be due to a few different reasons. The bulb may not be making proper connections in the socket which will cuase it to go dim. A loose or pinched wire can also due the same thing in the wiring harness. Other possibilities are a malfunction in the daytime running lights or head control ( auto headlights etc) Any of these will cause the SVS light to come on. You SES light however is triggered by a malfunction within the engine performance. Your best bet to to have the computer scanned and see what codes come back to trace your problems better. Hope this helps some.
