hey guys,

I was wondering if you guys could steer me in the right direction or if you could tell me if this is a potentially big problem, or just minor.

So about my problem:

Everytime I push in my clutch it makes a "pop" noise, everything else works great (it doesn't slip out of gears and it shifts fine) it just makes a poping noise up by (what i think) is the firewall..

anyone have a clue?

thank you

Mine does the same sometimes. It's always if I push it down all the way, and start coming back up from it, it pops. Don't know what it is though.

Can you feel it in the pedal? Mine was doing that right after I bought the car and it turned out there is this stupid little thing under the dash that I needed to tighten. Is it a pop or an annoying clicking noise? It's been so long, I can't even remember what I did. I'll look around and see if I can find anything for you.

its just an annoying click/pop half way through the process of pushing the clutch down

check to make sure that the rod to the master cylinder isn't binding underneath the dash where it connects to the pedal... I had the problem once (different car)

Get under the dash and slowly push the clutch pedal down with the car off. If I remember correctly, my problem was the spring for the cruise control switch, or something stupid like that.

if I push it in REALLY slow it doesn't do it, and what do you mean "cruise control switch" where is that located under the dash?

It was the switch that disengages the cruise control whenever you push down on the clutch. Let me see if I can find a picture for you somewhere.
