WIP - Monogram Cafe Racer Rx7

Thought i would through up some pics of the kit ive started, not much is done apart from engine, just into the interior, but its a very well detailed kit


Ill be making into an Alan Moffat Replica (try to anyway :D)

I really dig these old school builds of bad ass cars! Any RX-7 looks good, but this is nice. I love widebody racers. Good luck.

cool i have the fujimi type, im mad yours came with an engine and a seperate front lip and over fenders.......Nice build though keep it up.

interior is almost done, just gotta finish the cage off (full cage is going in :twisted: ) and small bits, then i attack the body.

Sweet interior so far. I like the muffler, too.

Looking forward to seeing more of this. That is one incredibly rare kit that's very hard to find these days. Only issued once. Too bad it's not got the same body kit as the Racing Beat/Akai RX7, regardless of the decals that came with it. I only have a crappy built version of this model, hope to someday find one that's a bit more fresh and not for high $$.

added some trumpets to the webber (carby), its hard having patience when i want to see the end result.

Just painted the body, its come out ok, although i need to hone down on my masking skills, a bit of bleeding needing touch ups, and the red pin stripe aint the best. But it should look good once all together

only the stickers and side mirrors left to go, the pin striping didnt come out the best, fidgity (sp) work doing that. I love it :lol:
