ok this has happend a few times. i have been driving and then all of a sudden the car just dies. loses rpms and the speedo and rpm gauge just drop. after a lil bit of messing with it it started back up. it happend a agian and i had to start it with popping the clutch. then again it happend and tried to start it by popping the clutch but it didnt work, so i tow it home and think ok it should start with popping the clutch, but it didnt so i thought ok no fuel...? so i replace the fuel pump. runs better than b4 and starts with a better idle. after about 3-4 weeks of no stalling just again yesterday it did it again, so i think ok maybe its overheating..? (coolant was never replaced) replaced it today. so i let it sit in the shade for 10 mins thinking (to cool it) and then after that it starts back up again? im so confused on what it is but im thinking something electrical? or would a bad o2 cause this? im lost:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: please help. when it stalls it wants to crank but wont turn over even when popping the clutch ive tried what i can think of not sur eif im missing something (i prob am) but any ideas are welcome but help is better. thanks.

Its not a starting or charging system problem is it? When u say it won't start back up, is it cranking fine and just not turning over, or is it cranking slow or not at all? When my alternator went out, some funny things were going on with the guages and all the check engine and battery light came on then it died. I let it sit for a few hours then it started up and i was able to drive it to the shop. Check your voltage to your battery, then see if you can start the car and see what kind of voltage you get. It should be over 13volts if the alternators working. Im pretty sure autozone tests batteries, alternators and starters. But it sounds like a charging system to me, so thats where i would start. Also make sure the connections on the battery are tight, that will cause some strange things to occur too.

No check engine lights come on at all. it cranks but wont turn over. the alt should be fiine. the batt conections should be ok. its weird tho i mean it just dies at random when im driving.. then i push it into a parking lot, push it around a lil bit let it sit and cool for like 10 mins and bam it starts rite back up quick and easy...?
what would the starter have to to with the car just dieing while im driving tho?

The starter wouldn't have anything to do with the car shutting off. I was just thinking of reasons why it wouldn't start back up. So, i guess if the charging system is good, then it would have to be a fuel or spark issue. Whens the last time u changed the fuel filter? Did u check to make sure you were getting any spark, or to see if the spark plugs look ok? It does sound like something could be overheating and then when it cools down it works again.
