so many questions so little time

I own a 96 geo tracker, 4 wheel drive, automatic. I've already made a few basic mods, cold air intake, ATS chip, side pipe, hollowed cat., plugs and wires. is there anything els I can do to my 1.3 liter? I cant find any after market turbos.
What kind of engine swaps are available? can i swap both suzuki or chevrolet motors? I also have in my possesion a charburated v6 engine out of an older camaro, could i swap this into my geo? and if so, would i need to chop out the front axel because of the 4 wheel drive?

You could put a big ol NOS tank in it and hope you don't blow the head off. Other than that, empty the glove box and take the plates off.

Going to any engine other than a I4 will require a different computer, even a lot of 4 cylinder engines will have different sensors, etc that won't switch over. In many locations it's illegal to swap a much bigger engine due to emmissions standards... but since you hollowed out your cat, you obviously don't care or it's not applicable where you are.

Geo? Why are you racing with a Geo? And why are you racing for slips with a Geo? That guy will probably give you the slip back after he beats you. The only racing that thing is good for is sand racing. Anyway, you can swap in ANY engine with enough money, time, and work. How much of those three necessary components you want to put down is up to you. Is there a direct bolt on swap kind of deal? most likely not. Geos aren't exactly the most popular vehicles to mod. And you're gonna have to do a swap or get an S-10 yourself if you want power. The Geo engine won't be able to tolerate a lot of boost, if at all. I remember a long time ago in a magazine that some guy put a rotary engine in his Samurai for sand racing. I don't believe it was a daily driver even though it looked like an ordinary Samurai with 14s or something along those lines.

The only "mods" you should be performing are either taking everything of any value off the vehicle, or "mod" your agreement so that you at least have something to drive when March arrives.

I had a former neighbor with a SBC in an S-10 which couldn't quite break into the 9's. He ran low 10's consistently. No blower, no turbo, no Viagra gas bottles. Yes, it was slightly "modded" too.

Incidentally, spark plugs and wires are usually considered maintenance items, not modifications.

Cancel that race, don't tell me you signed a legal contract or anything.

there is also a guy on that site swapping in a 4.3 from an astro, a 4 speed tranny, and Dana 44s onto his 88 samurai, just an example of what you can do if you're willing to put in the money, time, and work like i mentioned. Its probably a lot harder on a newer vehicle like yours but still, not totally impossible.

Nothing good enough to beat an S-10 on the street, but can turn your ride into a nice "mini-Wrangler". Take it to Montana or Utah or something and enjoy the trails.:thumbsup:

They're real good for offroading. I saw one with 32s on the trail once... that thing could go anywhere as long as the hill wasn't too steep. Looked like a big, enclosed ATV

Wanna race vs my truck... or car for pinks? I'll even give ya $100 back on it. I wouldn't mind having a little one for offroading, might be able to afford to go more than a few times per year.

Step two: Remove the body from any Vette, Camaro, Mustang, Charger r/t, etc. chassis
Step three: Place the Tracker body on the Vette, Camaro, Mustang or Charger, etc. chassis.

You could always add some yellow race stripes. Yellow stripes are always good for at least 10-15% hp gains :thumbsup:

damn pick up a cheap 4cyl (motor) at a junk yard, boost it and hope it holds for the race lol. :grinno:

A BIG (like 5 gal air compressor) tank full of nos and reatrd the timing some, oh wait its computer controlled well no timing reatrd just hope it holds.

you should drop in a big block 454 to get it going :)
