I have an oil pan leak located on what appears to be the oil pressure sendig unit. anyone have suggestions on repair or have similar problem. the leak started around 65,000kms which seems early to me and any help on this would be great.:screwy:

Could it be the low oil level sending unit?
year and engine?
Is it leaking threw the sending unit or outside?
Pull the sending unit and check mounting o ring/seal on it.

Is on the side of oil pan or side of engine?
External oil filter or on left rear of engine?

I think, by what your describing, is the remote oil cooler line to block adapter. You need to disconnect you front drive axle at the transfer case and just push it out of the way. In my opinion, to do this job right, you have to disconnect your oil lines and the two bolts that go through the connector and into the block, pull the adapte, clean it. There are two gaskets, the large rubber o-ring gasket and the felt gasket that need to be replaced. Installation is reverse of removal. Try keep things as clean as possible as you don't want dirt and stuff getting into your oil lines and into the engine. You need the oil line to block adapter gasket kit , along with new oil cooler line washers.

If it looks like the adapter first clean up the area and make sure its not the hose crimps (hose to metal) cause thats the most common. Original hoses all leak by 80-100k at most!l
