Regal problem

Hi I have a 1992 regal custom with a 3.8L engine. I was driving home about 6 months ago when my car just died. I got it started in aboout 15 minutes and tried to drive home. It ended up dying 3-4 more times. You can start it but it wont stay running.
Since then we have tried replacing the fuel filter, checking the fuel system. replacing the thermostat, checking for loose connections and the like.
We cannot figure out what to do to fix it and cant get it to run long enough to get to anywhere that could do the computer test. ANy Ideas?
Thanks so much

I have the same car and the same problem. Mechanic said there was fuel getting to the engine on mine, I ruled that out as a problem, but I am still trying to figure it out. Mechanic was useless. :2cents:

Yeah I understand I cant afford to take it somewhere for someone to just take a guess, and I am trying to get it running so my daughter can have a car. The thing is that is ran perfectly for the whole time we owned it before this happened. It will start, run for about 10-15 minutes then die and wont start easily again.
It sucks.
It sucks.

Again not enough info here to help, you must start with with confirming fuel press at the rail when it dies.

ok EVERYONE Problem solved. We took it to a mechanic and he replaced the throttle position sensor and it has been running fine ever since!
OUR FUEL SYSTEM WAS FINE AS I STATED BEFORE

Great, but I have never seen a tps cause a car to stall or die out, as you described, hope this works.
