I picked this kit up at Big Lots for $5 with pretty low expectations. So far, it's delivering exactly what I thought. The decals are pretty decent, although the large white parts are pretty translucent, giving them a pink appearance.
Paint is Duplicolor flame red followed by duplicolor clear. I went from primer to clear in 1 day and poished it out after 3 days (it was baking in the sun on a few 90+ days which helped out). I love the automotive paints!
Here is the body:

This closeup shows the bleeding of the "King of Beers" and the "Bud". Compare it with the Chevy Bowtie. The dust is intentional to weather it and make it appear as though this body was in storage! :icon16:

Nice work on the body. The only thing I may have done is remove the moulded on hood pins and replaced them with some photo etched items. But your finish is excellent.

I had considered doing that as well. But since the kit itself was a bargain at $5, I couldn't justify spending $8 for tiny pieces of metal. :grinno: Those molded hood pins are quite large though!

Painted the chassis:

It's really warped, however. This roll cage didn't go together as nicely as a Tamiya... Hopefully I'm not building a tripod cup car.

I almost bought the Revell kit today. They look to be MUUUUCH nicer than this kit. With Hobby Lobbys 40% of coupon, the Revell kit works out to $9.60. That extra $4.60 make a huge difference, no?:icon16:
