I have an 86 Crown Vic LTD 5.0 Fuel Inj. I am using the car in a local trailer race and have moved the battery inside the car. i also have moved the starter solenoid inside the car from the front fender. i reconnected all the wires to the solenoid. grounded the battery to the frame and the frame to the engine block. When I try to start it, the starter turns over great - the fuel pump turns on - but no start.. Is there something obvious that Im not seeing? All fuses under the dash are good..didnt see any under the hood fuses. I dont think its getting a spark. It ran fine before the battery move.. How can I trouble shoot the no spark issue??
PLEASE HELP!!!
No I have spark - but poor fuel delivery. The car will start and run with the help of starter fluid, but it wont STARt without it. Bad fuel filter? - Fuel pump? It didnt do this until I moved the battery and starter solenoid inside the car ??:banghead:

make sure the connection is clean for all of your grounds and make sure they are not getting hot... body to frame, frame to block

Thanks!
I found out it wasn't a "no spark" issue. I can get the car running with starter fluid and then it will stay running. But it wont start by itself. Its now a fuel issue. the fuel pump is working, but it doesnt seem to be working well. Any suggestions. Could a bad fuel filter be the cause? Im trying to avoid dropping the gas tank and replacing the fuel pump if there is a possibility it could be something more simple...
THanks!!
