I got done painting the car and reassembled. It needs a bit of wet sanding to get out a few brush marks and also some orange peel. Then polishing time :)

I had the car out tonight and started turning heads again compared to the old color.

That paint looks really good. Maybe not quite as shiny as a base coat/clear setup, but definately good enough. You should be happy with how it turned out for sure.

yeah it won't have that wet look to it. It's a polyeuathane (sp?). I debated clearing it but I decided that once I wetsand and polish it should be near mirror like and flat. That will be fine for me because then when it gets scratched or keyed (again hopefully not..) I can touch it up with a brush and sand that area quickly...

thanks all! Yeah I think they only offered blue in 2g's for 95... Spyders weren't out yet so no official blue 2g spyders exist I suppose.

To my knowledge, I've never seen a factory blue 2g, ever.

That guy on here had one....forgot what his name was. Cause it was blue then he did the 2gb conversion and painted it charcoal.

dead serious It's rolled. It's dirt cheap and looks great. I got sloppy on the one mirror and there are a few brush marks. They wet sand out though so it's a crazy flat and shiny paint job. 5 coats rolled. It's boat paint. It self levels. It looks great and most people can't tell it's rolled once it gets a final sanding and polish.

See this thread or one of it's other two predecessors..

Yeah, now that you mention it, Travis did have a blue one, but that's the only one I've ever seen, they must be very rare.
