Up for sale is an EXCELLENT condition 97 Eclipse GSX, automatic tranny, 146k miles, grey on grey leather interior, moonroof, keyless entry, factory alarm, loaded with all options.
Almost $6k in receipts to all work done, clean carfax with car. This is the nicest 2g I have ever seen in person, I dare you to try and find a cleaner 2GB for the money. The only cosmetic blemish is the spoiler on the inside where it meets the hatch the paint is peeling from a respray of the spoiler itself, not the car. Original paint in almost perfect condition. No rust anywhere, none in the engine bay whatsoever. Motor leaks no fluids, dont let the mileage scare you, this car has been maintained 10x better than any ive seen, I would not hesitate to drive it to anywhere. NEW ALTERNATOR, NEW RADIATOR, NEW MAS all less than 5k miles on them.
Injen intake with filter
3" Apex-i catback
Brand new UICP
Apex-i twin chamber BOV
Refreshed/resurfaced/cleaned head, all new gaskets and seals within 5k miles.
Type-V strut bar
greddy positive charging unit
All mods have less than 5k miles on them
There have been so many things replaced on this car I couldnt list them all, the folder of receipts is more than enough for a full hour of reading. The previous owner was meticulous, he did not skip a beat. Car needs nothing but a nice set of rims. I might be able to include a set of GS wheels with tires in good condition for a small price.
$5000 OBO takes it home. Drives amazing and shifts perfect. Tranny was serviced with new fluid and filter within 6 months. 15k left to go on the timing belt assembly.

So this isn't your car? If not who exactly is selling it and where is the car located...I see NY plates but you didn't specify.

For there not to be ANY rust, I can't see it being anywhere near NY but maybe IDK. Was there an exhaust leak at the manifold at one time because looks like something right above the exhaust manifold and right below the Valve cover, maybe a leaky valve cover gasket?

I am selling this car, yes it has NY plates on it, the car is located in Harpursville, NY.
There is no rust on the car and I invite anyone who wants to check it out to come do so.
Motor leaks no fluids, I dont know what that discoloration is from, but for the price does that even matter?

that defiantly looks like carbon build up on the head for a leaking gasket on the manifold... i'm no expert, but that could be something more serious then just a gasket leak since you said the head was just put back on the car... :screwy: but i dont now... did you have the head work done at a reputable shop???

Hey man if thats how you see it, then thats how you see it.
I am being 100% honest and truthful in describing this car and providing as much info and as many pics as I can, and am willing to answer any questions someone may have regarding anything about the car.
The entire head was refreshed with all new seals and gaskets, and resurfaced just as a precautionary measure to maintain the well being of the car due to the higher mileage. After taking the heat shield off I noticed that yes, there is an exhaust stud missing, so that would be the cause of the carbon on the valve cover.
I picked this car up off of an older gentleman in his late 30's, he was a weekend warrior and an ebay fanatic, and super anal about everything. Just the guy wasnt very mechanically inclined, and ran into a couple small problems that he couldnt figure out and decided that he wanted something newer and different, since he'd had the eclipse for 4 years.
