Lamborghini Murciélago

I don’t know about you guys, but the new Lamborghini predecessor (the Murciélago), is a bit of a disappointment to me. I had an idea that topping the Diablo would be next to impossible, although the Diablo was a formidable successor to the Countach.

Oh well, maybe it will grow on me… although I doubt it.

For the non-spanish speaking, Murcielago is spanish for Bat, as in the flying kind.

I'm not crazy about the new Lamborghini Murciélago, but decided to make a wallpaper featuring one anyway. Wallpaper anyone?

I don't remember those winglets or whatever above the quarter panels or around the vent....are those production features?

It’s my understanding that these side “spoilers” extend at high speeds to keep the rear end on the ground. They take the place of the rear Diablo wing with the movable spoiler (although I think the rear wings on the Countach and Diablo looks way cooler). :flash:

Mybe those "Wings" are why it's called the Murcielago.

it is true, the car look nothing like any other model Lamborghini ever built, there are some clues from the Miura, the Countach and even the Diablo, but it is safe to say it will take Lamborghini way into the 21st century.

A Roadster version is already being designed and should be ready by 2004 together with the new L140 V10 powered model.

i'm pretty sure those side spoilers are for cooling reasons. here's a source.

I'm loving it! I guess it's one of those Love/Hate cars. I love it! THat is by far a cool design, Still nobody has come up with my car accesory yet. I'm surprised. Anyone know how to patent something?

I'll tell you if you'll let me in on it ;) The first thing you need to do is check to see if anyone else has patented it yet. Go to the patent office's web site and they have a link to search for patented ideas. They may have already patented it, just not produced it yet, so you might never know if it has already been done. I like it a lot! I think cars often grow on me as I see more pictures. I remeber when I first saw the F50 man I hate it! But then when I saw more pictures and were lucky to see it in real life I really like it now!
For the new Lambo I think it is awsome and when some new versions comes out it will be even more awsome....

I just dont like it. Usually I like cars others hate, but I dont like this.

Porsche: I to have ideas on cars. One is for electric cars (to significantly increase range) and the other for conventional (or any, for that matter) cars, which would lower gas mileage, increase performance (acceleration, top speed, handling, etc). I will have to check out that patent site, because I want to be rich.

I went to the lambo dealership yesterday as part of my bitrthday and they said they should get a Murcielago by the end of october and they are getting a ton of die cast models of them. they look so cool. the gen manager had a yellow one on his desk and it was awesome!

They got the models pretty damn quick!! The show was just 2 weeks ago, forchristsake!!:rolleyes:

Yeah, that makes a lot moore since, hermunn123. I don't know where I had heard those wings being used for rear stabilty. Thanks for the info.

Hey Playa I dont think you searched through the whole of that site and plus that F60 burning event happened last year while testing around a race track! That was the black one but as of February this year a new red one covered in black tape (of course) and single rear lights has been spotted. It's nuts for a manufacturer to only make one prototype as things do happen.

So before you think the F60 is gone think again, it's back on and will be in testing for a lot more time as there's a rumour the fire was started because of a mechanical or technical error! :o

But both Lamborghini and Ferrari just arent the same anymore both the old models looked really good but the new F-60 doesnt cut it it looks like the bat-mobile but the new Murcielago looks thight but i think the Diablo looked better
