(http://www.isuzuforums.com/post_message_form.asp?mode=quote&PID=3136&FID=11&TID=1155&TPN=1) I just bought a 1994 Trooper that randomly opens the injectors and dumps fuel so bad the oil needs to be changed. I plan on doing a diesel swap but would like to get this running because the motor is recently rebuilt. The dealer said its the engine (http://www.isuzuforums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1155&PN=1#) wiring harness. Is it common to have problems with the wiring in these trucks?

I'm assuming you have a 3.2L engine - dohc or sohc??

When you mention, *dumps* fuel, how much are we talking? Is it raising the level on the oil dipstick?

It may be worth to pay $23 and have a UOA (used oil analysis) performed on your oil, the test would show you just how much fuel is in the oil after a reasonable amount of time, i.e. 3k miles.

More info on an oil test can be found at bobistheoilguy.com

I will say, for sure, that the dipstick on these trucks CAN and DO smell like fuel's in the oil if they are primarily city driven and not having access to speeds of 55+ mph for more then 60-90 minutes or so at least twice a month.

AND, I very highly recommend running Rotella synthetic 5w-40 in these engines with a napa gold filter - this combination is great, contains extra additives/protection, and keeps the engine cleaner then most oils.

Its a 3.2 DOHC it fowls the oil and raises the level alot. When it happens the truck will not run. :banghead: I think the dealer is right about the wiring harness. I
was going to isolate the wires for the O2 sensor and the MAF sensor. I was looking for some direction and was hoping that this happened to someone else.
