running rough

i have a 1989 bronco w/5.0 engine.it won't idle and i have a whale of a time to get it to run.after a couple of blocks it will accelrate and run but rough as long as i don't stop.i have to use the brake and accerlator when i have to stop.could someone please help me?

Is your 'check engine' light signaling? That would be your best barometer. If your light isn't signaling, you could still have codes in your computer. Pull the codes, and see what they tell you. It could be an o2 sensor, TPS, EGR, you get the idea. Could also be your catalytic. Does your tailpipe put out black smoke when you start it?
