A lot of people do that, and 9/10 turn out horrible looking.

Have him stand up to what he's suggesting... have him paint his and see how it turns out.

(With HotRod... Don't do it.)

Piece it together, take your time and get stuff little by little and before you know it you'll have most of what you need to do it. IE Commit yourself to buying 1 interior piece a month. OR find one on ebay or soemthing.

unless you are a very detailed person, don't do it ...

now with that said ... I have a buddy that is very picky, can spend unlimited time making something look nice, he painted his & it turned out great, but I don't have the patience for it myself. look online for instructions if your going to do it, cleaning it with asitone is a very important step from what I hear ... good luck ... try on a junkyard piece before doing your stuff ... :2cents:

Anything being painted is only going to be as good as the prep work that went into the piece prior to painting. So it needs to be ubber clean and smooth. Also make sure if your using any type of primer or coating, that they are all compatable with each other. Normally all in one kits are the way to go. :2cents:

oh, just curious, what's a bubby? :dunno:

i want to change the interior from black to white

:yikes:

That's almost worse, no scratch that, worse than trying to paint the exterior white over black, slightest rough contact and it will look like instant poo. :disappoin

Only way to do that (exerior) is to strip entirely of the original color and on most interioir pieces that's not possible.

Painting interior pieces is just like painting a car...the finished product is only as good as your prep. Going from black to white will be extremely difficult, and you won't be able to find white interior pieces for a 2nd gen. Try calling a custom shop.
