Bad smell on my A/C vents

Hey anybody knows how to clean or eliminate a bad odor everytime I turn the A/C on it smells like rotten milk inside the air vents and it last aprox 2 min :disappoin

If it has a cabin air filter check it.
Make sure the drain pipe is not stopped up.
They have some stuff you can spray in her.
Lysol may help.
Also i think there is a certain shut down or turn on procedure that helps.

drain pipe is draining good let me trye lysol first and see what happen and them ill try from your links I my have to remove all of the plastic covers to get to the unit

Good luck.
Sometimes you can remove a blower motor resistor or some other little things and spray it in there.

My mom owns an '04 chevy trailblaze and everytime we turn the AC on there is a rotten smell - it smells like a dead animal or something like that. :screwy: My dad wants to check the filter but isn't sure where it is located - can anyone help??? Thanks!

I had the same problem when it started to get hot out this past spring... would smell awful from the vents when it first started up. Discovered it was my muddy, filthy floor mat that was causing it. I use a rubber one in the winter and hadn't swapped it out yet. As soon as I did and gave the floor a thorough cleaning, the smell went away.
