swap question

I have a 99 Civic DX hatch. I am interested in swapping the engine with a GSR engine. To keep it legal, does the new engine have to be from 99 and up or does it just have to be the same OBDII ?

Technically you're not supposed to go lower than your cars year. Most states don't get into it that at all though. Just go with OBD-II unless you live in Cali where laws are ridiculous. Make sure you keep your receipts and proof it's not stolen.

I have a 94 rs integra what would be the best swap for it power wise?
